Hi everybody. I have not been posting lately, I know. I have been playing Final Fantasy X-2 though. And it sucks. Never buy this game.

I really, really, really didn’t want to own an mp3 player from Apple. I had a monk’s faith that somebody (*cough*sony*cough) would be able to come out with a worthy competitor that worked really, really well. Maybe even something with video playback (the Archos products are good, but not nearly as polished as the iPod is for music). Sony’s got a weird VAIO Pocket coming out, but who knows how far off the calendar it is.

I bought an iPod Mini. May Nobuyuki Idei guide me through these troubled times as I struggle through the path of smooth aluminum. Blessed will be the day that Sony comes out with a true iPod killer. Sigh. Here we go on the slippery slope to the dark side!
A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell) once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the center of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy. At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: “What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise.” The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, “What is the tortoise standing on?” “You’re very clever, young man, very clever,” said the old lady. “But it’s turtles all the way down.”
For some reason, that last quote popped in to my head today. It’s from Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time. Enjoy.
I just bought a Panasonic rice cooker! It works great, and now I can save the rice I cook for days! This is part of my effort (along with eating McDonald’s but once a week) to eat more healthily.
I will post pictures of it later.
Wow! I just checked my blog and noticed that some freak logged onto my site and added a bunch of comments linking to some weight loss drug. How freaking low! Check out this entry. Note the last comment.
Americans eat out for an average of 40 percent of their meals. I cooked spaghetti tonight, but I am definately not helping that statistic. Yikes!
The new season of Big Brother has just started in Australia. The 24/7 live video feed is very interesting for the slang and accents if nothing else! It is like a futuristic version of The Sims.
I added two movies to my Tokyo album: a view of the Meiji Shrine and a machine making souviner food.
