Heavenly Rays of Sun

2006年4月13日17時37分

The Egyptians, Greeks and all had it right. God is the sun. And God’s greatest gifts are the beaming rays of light God sends millions of miles through space, down the sky and into our bodies, breathing life and warmth into our frail bones.

Hurray for spring!

Closet Christians

2006年4月12日17時29分

I doubt San Francisco will have rallies insisting these people can come out of the closet:

Muhammad claims to know about 40 closet Christians in Jordan today

The culture wars continue unabated.

Carpal Tunnel Alert!

2006年4月12日10時44分

You spend a lot of time in front of your computer. In fact, the only thing you touch more often than your mouse and keyboard is your pillow. Microsoft offers some the most comfortable hardware available.

I really want this keyboard.

Flash Cellular Game

2006年4月11日14時47分

Here is a cool game where you are a little amoeba/microscopic organism and you swim around in your petri dish eating other organisms, growing as you do so. Eventually other organisms start trying to eat you. Fantastic!

God Left None

2006年4月9日10時06分

“The Left’s hostility to religion is one of the main reasons people who otherwise might be involved with progressive politics get turned off.”

It should surprise no one that Democrats are a minority in our country if they think 40% of their own members are “deserving of ridicule”.

Bubble Game

A perfect way to waste time popping bubbles as a game.

USA’s Long History of Success

2006年4月8日16時30分

Some people are so negative:

BUT IT SURE WOULD BE NICE IF WE HAD A CONGRESS OR GOVERNMENT THAT WORKED

What? We have the world’s oldest representative government. We have the world’s largest peaceful borders. We filled a continent from coast to coast with the world’s first multi-cultural people believing and fighting for common goals under a single banner. We are orders of magnitude larger than every other representative government in existence.

Our government has proven itself fair and capable on a scale unmatched around the world. The USSR, China, India, Japan and the EU are all similar in scale. India is involved in monthly skirmishes with its minorities and nearest neighbor that could escalate into nuclear exchange; China is authoritarian and has a terrible human right’s record; the USSR collapsed under its own flaws, poverty and corruption; Japan is only half the size of the US and mono-cultural and -ethnic to the point of obscenity… The EU has the only (decreasing) chance of overcoming its secretarian nature and dragging its people kicking and screaming into success similar to the US.

I agree that things are not perfect here in the US. There is much we must do better–and we will do better. But to imply that things are broken is absurd.

Dollars ga ippai

2006年4月8日15時28分

China held $262.6 billion of U.S. Treasury securities as of January, which is dwarfed by Japan’s holding of $668.3 billion, according to U.S. Treasury data.

That is some serious money!

Gamepad Keyboard

2006年4月6日17時19分

I think I just found a secret power-up for the fight against Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (respect the CTS!): A gamepad keyboard Ars reviewed.

I ordered my AlphaGrip AG-5 today!

Apple Gives the Mac some Microsoft Windows Love!

2006年4月6日11時22分

I am elated to learn that I can finally run Windows on my beautiful MacBook! Now the only remaining reason not to buy a MacBook pro is 3D accelerated graphics drivers (or not)… Unless you’re a cheap bastard who is unwilling to pay a small premium for good design.
